Dave brings almost 30 years of leadership and enterprise management in the telecommunications sector to the table. He began his career as a General Manager with Ironton Telephone Company, a Pennsylvania ILEC founded by his great-grandfather in 1909, eventually becoming Chairman of the Board.
Under Dave’s leadership, Ironton Telephone quickly evolved from being a rural telco to one of the fastest-growing privately owned telecommunications companies in Pennsylvania. Dave was also instrumental in developing and enhancing the relationships of a large multi-county fiber ISP partnership (PenTeleData) with other telcos and cable companies.
In 2009, seeing the strong shift in the industry from on-premise services to cloud services, Dave founded Ironton Global, an ITSP that offers next-generation SIP, Hosted PBX and UCaaS/CCaaS solutions. He also founded Telzy, a mobile application for iOS and Android that delivered easy-to-use, affordable, and reliable international calling to over 180 countries.
In 2011, seeing a growing need to redefine the sales, marketing and consultative process for Enterprise and SMB Cloud Computing & Communications, Dave co-founded GreenStar Solutions as the “angel” investor. The company was designed to keep up with the evolution in Cloud Services, providing their clients with industry-specific services and advice. Twelve years later, GreenStar proudly continues to assist many service providers, vendors, distributors and carriers in the communications sector.
In 2016, Dave was courted to assist an emerging UC platform provider, NetSapiens. Initially a small consultative role, it wasn’t long before Dave was asked to lead the company as Senior Vice President and General Manager of NetSapiens, which he did for 6 years. His leadership resulted in excellent revenue growth, channel program expansion, and improved customer service, which ultimately positioned the company to be acquired by Crexendo in June 2021.
Earlier in 2022, Dave once again saw a need in the industry. Many xSPs (ITSPs, MSPs, and CSPs) had business and operational gaps, and needed top-tier advice and assistance, technologically and organizationally. Dave’s unique perspective and entrepreneurial enthusiasm quickly drew several industry veterans to join him, and P2P Tech was born.
